Russell Holmes - Chief Executive Officer/Managing Partner
Russell Holmes started Reigning Sports Academy after ending a very successful 10 year professional indoor volleyball career. Throughout Russell’s athletic journey he has played and competed at the highest level all around the world representing both Team USA and also multiple professional organizations overseas. He has also achieved multiple team and individual accolades:

Russell started Reigning Sports Academy on the premise that American volleyball youth deserve better. Along with a decorated professional career Russell also owns Reigning Sports Agency, representing world class professional volleyball talent competing around the globe as well as owning the Utah Stingers professional men’s team that competes in the National Volleyball Association (NVA), which is the premier pro men’s league in America. With his level of experience at the national and international level, Russell is able to provide Reigning with world class resources that are unmatched.
Mike Muaina - President/Managing Partner
Mike Muaina has coached volleyball for over 35 years beginning in the summer of 1986. Has coached boys & girls high school and club teams of all ages. Was part of a girls' club coaching staff and program that won two national titles with a 17U & 18U team. Took a first year Elsinore boys' high school team to the CIF quarterfinals in SoCal in 1992, and helped with two back-to-back state championship titles at Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah. Started 801 VBC in 2007, and was the 18U IVA-USAV Regional Champs that very same year with a team mostly made up of underclassmen. Started Utah Surge Athletics in 2021-22, and now is involved with the development of Reigning Sports Academy with some amazing individuals. Married to Suzanne Rector, blessed with four beautiful children, and four, even more beautiful, grandchildren.
Moana Angilau - Operations Officer/Managing Partner
Former educator & director of Cultural Envoy for Utah Valley University, Owner of MB3 Construction and The Village Impact, serving over 50 special projects, fundraising for causes and raising awareness in their respective industries.
